The fruit of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
Education Waqf was established in Jordan out of an ambitious desire driven by the need to improve the quality of education, with the economic dimension as its foundation and engine. According to Ministry of Education estimates, the Kingdom needs around 600 schools over the coming ten years — an average of 60 schools a year — a figure that exceeds the Ministry's capacity and financial allocations. There is also a significant need to maintain existing schools and modernise the equipment and tools used in the educational process.
From here, Education Waqf emerged as the fruit of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, creating a platform that allows willing citizens to provide material support in order to improve the quality of education in Jordan.
