Nafe Al-Sharqi School — Al-Quwaysimah district

The “Raisa Al-Sahhar” endowment

As part of Education Waqf projects, the “Raisa Al-Sahhar” endowment was inaugurated at Nafe Al-Sharqi School in the Al-Quwaysimah district, valued at JOD 200,000 and donated by the late Dr Mohammad Hamdan.

The endowment added a building with 10 classrooms, helping a school that serves a densely populated area increase its capacity and teaching staff. The school was able to admit 160 students into the first three grades, alongside 1,414 existing students.

South Shuna district — International Charity Organisation

Suwaimeh Mixed Basic School

The Ministry of Education inaugurated the Suwaimeh Mixed Basic School building, donated by the Emirati charitable authority in coordination with the education endowment board.

Dr Sahar Al-Shakhatreh, Secretary General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, said this new educational landmark adds to Jordan's institutions of learning, thanking the sisterly UAE, represented by the International Charity Organisation, for its generous donation and hoping for further cooperation that ensures a safe and suitable environment for students.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, chairman of the organisation's board of trustees, said the opening embodies the finest cooperation between the UAE and Jordan, strengthens fraternity and solidarity, and gives our sons and daughters the chance to realise their dreams.

The school contains 8 classrooms, a science and computer laboratory, and 4 administrative rooms.
